Thanks Carolanne, I will try getting in touch with him.

My gran lived in Dodworth until the early 1990s and I spent a lot of time with her, she lived on Hawthorne Crescent. When I was there I used to play with a girl who lived a couple of doors down who was also a Carr  and now I think probably a distant rellie!  I need to start branching out from my direct line with the Carrs and have a look at all the siblings.

Thanks for your help.

Hiya Jen
Its proberbly the same family allthough in the back off my mind I'm thinking George lived in Snowhill but I could be wrong he now lives on Hawthorne Crescent and his daughter just lives around the corner from me.
Did your James die in Barnsley because I can't see a death for him in 1950. Just had a thought if they were cremated their ashes might be at the crem in Ardsley

Hi there, I am new to this chat so please excuse my clumsiness.

I am desperately seeking info on Barnsley Cemetery records. I was helped a great deal by the Friends an a visit last year.
I need details of who is buried in e 332 uncon (this is a Durham grave) some I have details but not all.
The other is also a Durham grave, e 330 uncon . I should be very grateful if you could help.

Thank you so much. That is all very helpful.
I remain puzzled as to the whereabouts of the remains of my grandmother Alice Maude Durham.
I was present at her interment supposedly with her mother, Sarah Jane Durham, nee Clarke later Harrison.
Sarah Jane died in 1929 and my grandmother Alice Maude in July 1966. When I visited in September last year and spoke to a member of the Friends who had the records with her there was no record of my grandmother that related to where she is supposed to be. If you were able to shed any light on this it would be wonderful. Mary

Hiya Mary
I've found Sarah Jane but she is listed Jane Sarah
Jane Sarah Harrison age 58, 14 Lambert Road Ardsley, burial 23/8/1929 plot e/330

I can only do a name search not grave search as it would take forever. I'll have another look around for Alice Maud. The only explanation I can come up with if she was cremated are her ashes at the crem in Ardsley
