Hiya Cass
William Horne age 65, 72 Gawber Road,Buried 11 July 1946, Section M plot 895.
Also buried in the same grave
Ida Horne age 2 year 11 month,22 Castle Street,Buried 7 April 1913. Section M plot 895.
I can't see an Edith Horne in my records so hope the ones I've found are the correct family.
Just been looking on another site but its a pay to view but you can search by name and if Edith died in 1969 theres a good possibility that she was cremated and her ashes are there.

Carolanne,

Thanks for the info, I think you have the correct family as William and Edith had a child Ida, 11 months old on the 1911 Census.

Also I think the 1969 death is "my" Edith , I might send an email of to the Crematorium. If all else fails, might have to give it the pay as you view site a go. I cannot get over how many sites in the UK are pay to view. With no details of the deceased parents christian names on the UK Death index it is hard to identify the person you are trying to find.

Once again many thanks for your help.

regards
Cass, in a chilly Sydney Australia

Many thanks,

I am back to the drawing board, "my" John William Lane was born 1875 , last thing I can find for him is in 1906 when he was a witness at sisters Ediths wedding to William Horne at St George Barnsley.

Also I received a reply from the Crematorium, Edith Horne was cremated 27.3.1969, ashes scattered in Grounds.  adding this info hoping that one day somebody might Google name and contact me.

Thanks again

Cass

Carolanne,

with such a popular name of John Lane or sometimes John W Lane or John Wm Lane or John William Lane, I have had no luck with a marriage, there are just to many and tooooo hard to identify him. One day he might turn up, I will keep my fingers crossed.

Thanks again

Cass
