I know the centre of Barnsley, I go to the Archives fairly often and I travel in on the train from Sheffield.

If you use google maps and type in Cemetery Road Barnsley you should be able to find it quite easily. Its about a 10 minute walk from the railway station.

Hi,

Could anyone have a look for the burial of Edward Armitage, possibly died June qt 1912 age 70 years.

Also his wife Mary Armitage died between 1891 & 1901.

Henry Carlisle (Carlile)  died 1863 Barnsley
Frances (Fanny) Carlisle died 1880 Barnsley (his wife)
Alfred Carlisle  died 1855 Barnsley
Samuel Carlisle died 1842 Barnsley  (a child)
