NIC(H)OLSON & GRAHAM of Skye

Looking to share information regarding my NICOLSON family of Skye possibly Kilmuir Snizort area.  Malcolm NICOLSON was born abt 1778 to parents John NICOLSON and Mary GRAHAM.  Have only located Malcolm's parents details from his death details of 1862.  Malcolm served for over 12 years with the Gordon Highlanders in the 92nd Regiment.  Malcolm married Flora McPHERSON of Kilmuir.

FWIW, Flora NICOLSON's ( nee McPHERSON) mother's maiden name was M(a)cKINNON.  All I know is that her father was Murdoch McPHERSON and her mother was Anne McKINNON.  No dates of their marriage etc.

I think any relationship is tenuous.
Anne Nicholson B. Snizort 1796 married Charles MacKinnon in Kilmuir about 1825
Anne's parents were Alexander Nicholson and Janet Budge.
Maybe Nicholson was a common name in Snizort.
