This is quite an old post and perhaps you are sorted on this now. Perhaps you found the Friends Reunited section for this school by now, and other historical sources.
I case you didn't , I was a pupil in the infants section of the school in the period in question, and offer a few tips.
The sitel had an Infant, Junior and Senior School which were all managed under separate heads in separate buildings (The Senior School occupied the upper floor from the Junior). Many went on to schools other than the Senior school. The buildings were demolished only a few years ago, but for 20-30 years or so had been used as municpal premises and storage. They are still building housing on this site.
The successor school was in effect Breckon Hill Primary School or perhaps Abingdon Road school. I am suprised no records were passed on to the Cleveland Archives Department. From 1974 to about 1996 education was under the Cleveland County Council.
Every school headteacher had a log book, a sort of Headteachers's diary. Some of these were passed on to successor schools. Worth a try.Just to get the location fixed in your mind, it was quite central, on the south east corner of Borough Road and Marton Road, bounded by Douglas Street. At this time of writing, you can see the empty site on Bing and new building in progress on Google Maps . Get Mapping has an aerial view of the old Senior/Junior Building taken before demolition.
