Hi Edo,

Out of interest I have a Henry Bullock on my tree. Not a direct link to my own family but I have hit so many brick walls on my own every now and then I look at the married in families.

This Henry was born c.1855 in Stroud, Glouscestershire. The info I have on him is slight, mainly that he was a cellerman on the 1881 Census and a publican in the 1901. He married on of my great great Aunts, a Hannah Tipping .

Just wondering if any of this flags up on your own branch of Bullocks??

All the best

Hello Rich.,

Thank-you for your response.

My only BULLOCKs are those shown in the previous response.

John BULLOCK b c1770 was my 3rdGreatGrandfather.
So, I would like to discover more about the BULLOCKs.

John's daughter Sarah Ann BULLOCK Christened 25 September  1796   Bristol Gloucester  married John BLACKWELL b c1805 Bath on 02 Jul 1826 at St Phillip & Jacob Without, Bristol, GLS

Some of the off-spring emigrated to Australia including Sarah Ann's eldest daughter Maria, who married in Bath, Jonathan HARRIS a Wesleyan educator from Hythe, Kent.  They first settled near Durban RSA where he became the tutor to the Governor's children.

I am the grandchild of their 13th child!!!
Not very high up in the pecking order!!

Once again, thank you for your interest in researching on my behalf.

Sincerely

EDO

HI EDO,

Do you know if your Bullock family were Quakers? There is a family with parents of John and Jane in Bristol,  3 children born between 1866 and 1869. Also have the possible marriage the  of this couple.

Kind Regards,

Frances :)

Hi,

Sarah Bullock is my 4th Great grandmother. It shows (on ancestry) that her father was John Bullock and her mother was Ann Pond. I'm related through her daughter Emma Rainsford who married Alfred James Haynes.
