Brown Family of Yorshire

Does anyone out there know a Brown Family that is currently living in the Keighley area?

I am trying to locate descendants.

I have Family from Keighley with the Brown surname,
Some names are Jacob, Ada, Doris, William.

Thank you for your reply.

We are looking for descendants of the following people:

George Haywood Brown born abt 1878 in Yeadon and married Emily Ingham on 22nd September 1900 at the Parish Church, Keighley.

Ada Florence Brown born abt 1880 in Yeadon and married Ratcliffe Jowett in the December quarter 1900, Keighley.  They had a daughter Antonetta Jowett born in 1901.

Willie Brown born abt 1882 in Yeadon and married Elizabeth Cocking on 5 November 1902 at St Anne's Church, North Street, Keighley.

Haywood Brown (my great grandfather) is a brother to the above.  Haywood came out to Australia in 1921 with his wife Bridget Anne Brown (Kelly) and daughter Mary Brown.

Hello Andrea,

Its not the same ones im afraid, but if come across anything I will let you know, Mine started off in Glemsford Suffolk and then moved to Keighley just after the 1901 Census. Sorry about that Andrea.

Just put the Brown name and Keighley on the BT site and the response was that there were too many to list So it is going to be a hard task deciding which of the many Browns you want to contact
You may be better off contacting a local newspaper with your request
