Naseby Parish records/ census records
« on: Thursday 12 January 06 12:15 GMT (UK) »
I am trying to trace the King family from Naseby, believed to have been there in the 1800s.

William Henry King / Henry or William King. Born about 1879, reported to have come from Naseby. I have no further information other than his family emigrated to NZ in about 1882.

Would really appreciate any help that someone can give me on locating my great grandfather.

Thanks

Sarah

HI again Sarah

If you look at the web page
http://www.familysearch.org
Look at the top of the page and click Search.
Then look at the left hand side at Censuses.
Drop down 1881 British Census and then type in King  etc.

You should see Fanny King listed 1st.
Double click her name which will lead to a view showing her name.
Look at the right-hand side and double click Household and this may be your family details.

If so then you will have William/Henry's parents also.

If you already know how to use this site please excuse my instructions.

Best of luck.

Sandy

Thanks guys for all ur help, it turns out Fanny's family was the one I was looking for, I've now been able to trace back to Fanny's grandfather born 1801.
