1851 census look up for Michael Robson

Could sks look up on the 1851 census for a Michael Robson and his wife Mary Stubbs.

I have only their marriage certificate with the following information.

1838  Sept. 24
Parish of Fridaythorpe

Michael Robson   age   21   of Fridaythorpe occ. Butcher
Mary Stubbs                 24             "


I do know that Michael Robson was born in Wetwang to parents Michael and Sarah ( Mintoft) Robson.

Now can carry on to found out about this family.  I had found a couple of Mary Robson's as widows on the 1881 census so now will check them out again as one could be the right Mary robson.

Hi Anne,
I have found some info on them in 1861 not sure if you already have this but could post if you would like. Three of the Robson children are visiting with a William & Ann Abby.

What is interesting about Collinson Robson is that when I did a search on the FreeBMd for a marriage for Ellen Stubbs. There was one listed for an Ellen Collison Stubbs Dec 1859 district Pockilington you should check this out. The colinson sounds like it would be someone's maiden name.

Anne, Checked out the marriage for Ellen she married John Tomlinson Millington, in 1861 & 71 they were living in West Derby Lancashire. You can check out their children in 1881 ref: RG11/3705 folio 76 page 22 West Derby 115 Oxford Street you  the LDS site. John  T is there with a new wife Ellen would have died before 1881. Positive it's Ellen Stubbs got a son Frederick Stubbs Millington.

Have been trying to find this Collinson Robson but no luck so far tired looking on 1881 census - no luck.  Tried the free bmd site and could not find a marriage or death.

Pauline you are right Collinson is a maiden name !! I just had another look at the marriage record for Michael Robson and Mary Stubbs.  Mary was a widow and guess what her father's last name is?? -- Collinson.

I have been trying to find who their daughter Elizabeth Robson married (from census info you sent) I have just found a Elizabeth C. Robson  marrying 1866 in Pocklington to ethier a William Robson or a Thomas Wilson.  So going to try and find them on the 1881 census. Think the "C" in could be collinson.

Also just noticed on the marriage certificate on of the wittnesses was a Ann Stubbs. Wonder is this is the Ann Abbey on the 1861 census?? Going to check that out as well.
