Martha Greatorex who married Philip Stannard in Derby in 1843 is with her family on the 1851 census HO107/2142 folio 511. She was aged 30 and born in Sawley Derbyshire.

I can't see any Greatorex deaths in Derby registration district in 1837?

The National Burial index give these Greatorex burials for Handsworth.

8th Dec 1824 John GREATREX 18d Staffs   Handsworth, St Mary
27th Jun 1829 Judah GREATOREX 7m Staffs Handsworth, St Mary
6th Apr 1836 John GREATOREX 77 Staffs Handsworth, St Mary
10th Aug 1837 William GREATOREX 85 Staffs Handsworth, St Mary

Valda

Sorry valda that should have bee 1937, i am not used to finding deaths in the nineteen hundreds. I must have put 18 automatically. Greatorex. Fanny C.(for Celia) age 82 Derby Oct 1/4. I have been looking at my record and i have worked out that This Martha spouse now known thanks to you. was the Grandmother of Wilfred, Fanny's husband, and my G.Grandfather..She is also the daughter of  the Anthony Greatorex born in in 1780. And sister of Samuel Greatorex. So now the tree is at last coming together :D I have now gone over the edge of the top of the tree.

Sorry I'm not sure I understand. You mean

MARTHA GREATOREX -
Christening: 05 MAR 1820 Saint Marys, Handsworth, Stafford
Father:  ANTHONY GREATOREX
Mother:  DEBORAH

The Martha Greatorex who married Philip Stannard in Derby in 1843 was born circa 1821 in Sawley Derbyshire according to the all the censuses between 1851 and 1891. Not in Handsworth Staffordshire.

Martha baptised Handsworth was presumably Wilfred's aunt and Fanny Celia was his wife?

Valda

If you have any potential connection with the following then, by all means, make contact. Ann Greatorex - signature looks more like Greatorix, b1791 d1872, Hanbury Staffs, daughter of John and Sarah.
Ann married Thomas Archer 24APR1810 at St Werburghs Hanbury Staffs

Hi, it is martha JOHNSON that married philip stannard (my great great grandfather) according to my research. She was born in 1821 and died in 1899.
