Joseph Fearn - 22 - Policeman - Hoxton, Middlesex

seems strange if this is him that he was a policeman then and not in 1871, oh well

Sorry should be Edward not Joseph who was the policeman.

I would use my age as an excuse but i am only 31!!

Known for putting ones foot in it!

I don't think being a policeman paid that much in 1851...........not the first policeman that I have come across for this period in time that has left the force for whatever reason........

Closest I can see is a Joseph Firme age 23, Labourer general, born Bermondsey boarding at Verney Flats Camberwell.
