William And Elizabeth Chapman pre 1752

Hi All, I have a baptism of George Chapman in Beedon, Berks on 3rd Dec 1752. His parents were William and Elizabeth Chapman. To date I can find no trace of William and Elizabeths marriage or births having searched the PRs for almost 30 contiguous Parishes. I am aware of a William and Elizabeth Chapman marriage in East Challow 6th August 1750 but they seem to have settled in Letcombe Regis and had numerous offspring there. If anyone has access to Marriage Indices or other records for the period I'd appreciate any help that can be offered. Thanks in anticipation and happy hunting. Graham (Chapman).

For the record, these are the only entries for a William CHAPMAN marrying an Elizabeth on the OFHS's Oxfordshire Marriage Index (1538-1837):

07 FEB 1725 - William CHAPMAN to Elizabeth OXLADE at Aston Rowant

12 SEP 1728 - William CHAPMAN (Milton) to Elizabeth COLLET (Milton) at Shipton/Wychwood

Neither looks particularly likely, I'm afraid!

Thanks for your interest. I found my William and Elizabeth Chapman in the John Brook's Marriage Index at the Berks Records Office. They married on 19th Sept 1752 in Newbury, Berks but haven't made the BFHS Marriage Index yet! Thanks again for taking the time to reply. Graham.
