I am looking for info on Ambrose Davenport born 1886-7 Gosport, Alverstoke.  Ambrose married Ethel Kate Carter in India 1914. Ambrose was in British Army. Returned to England and lived at time of Ethel's Death 1947 at 73 Chestnut Grove, Mitcham.  Would like copy of Ethels death notice from newspaper if possible and if anyone knows if they had children. Any info on this family

Can't find anything in The Times for Ethel.  I would suggest the local archives.  I believe Mitcham comes under the LB of Croydon so here is a contact http://www.croydon.gov.uk/leisure/artsentertainmentculture/culture/archives/Newspapers/?a=5441
