It's lovely that you have all found a connection but please bear in mind Rootschat policy that we don't name any living people, although you can exchange such information by Personal Message (after making a couple of posts on the boards first).

Thanks - and welcome to the newcomers!

Kind regards, Arranroots  ;)

I've just joined as I'm now looking further into the history of the Robey believed to belong to West/Oadley at the request of the friends who purchased it from Kay

It may be that I'll be back with further questions but I thought I would just introduce myself for the moment and why I'm here.

Tony

Welcome Tony - what a fabulous purchase!

I confess to a teeny bit of envy (though not sure where I would keep one!)

 ;D

OK - a big bit of envy!  Is it in Gloucestershire by any chance and are you accepting visitors?

Kind regards, Arranroots  ;)

Much as I'd love to own it - or even any engine - this one is owned by some friends over in Suffolk.

I have found this thread so interesting.  Whilst researching the Shawcroft side of my family I have found that Hilda Kitts was my 3rd cousin 2 x removed.
