Hello Gill,
Many thanks for your email.    I would certainly be fascinated to know some details about Martha Cook and her family, please.

I am in fact descended from the same Josiah Welch, b.1836, whom you have discussed.    You have obviously worked very hard and cleverly to uncover his true status as the illegitimate son of Jane, and I am most interested to know of it.    I guess this means I should now be adding a further "Great" to Timothy Welch?

My Grandfather was Charles Amos Welch, b. 1862.   He died before I was born, but as a child I do remember visiting his brother, Great Uncle George.     I think my father also had cousins living in Manchester and Bedford, and we went to Manchester once to meet them.

Will try and get your address from your cousin Sheila when I go down in a couple of weeks time.
I also have a lot of stuff on the Bullards and Smiths from Lincs yet more branches of the family!!

you can try 31 bucklersbury that was a baker/mill owned by the waldocks i lived there for 5 years.his name was henry waldock.an ashwell based family.
