Hi Adrian
Don't know if you have found this information anywhere else by now, but what do you think about this?
In the 1851 I've found an Ann Jordin with a Mary Ann Jordin, grand-daughter, living in Chelmarsh, Shropshire. Is this the right one because you say she was living in Staffordshire.
This is probably her in 1841 - there is a George Jordin, 65, Farmer, Ann Jordin, 45, and Benjamin Jordin, 15, living together in Chelmarsh.
Also living in Chelmarsh, quite close together:
John Jordin, 30, Farmer; Sarah, 30; John, 3; Mary, 2; Sarah, 1; Not Known, 1week.
William Jordin, 25, Shoe maker; Ann Jordin, 25; Mary, 2; Eliza, 1.
So two Jordin families kindly named the daughters who were born in the same year Mary.
If you think these may be yours I can give the references.
Monica
