Moulton / Warren
« on: Saturday 31 December 05 14:44 GMT (UK) »
Would very much appreciate making contact with anyone having information concerning the family of -

Joseph Moulton, born 1784, in Barnahusk Parish, Rectory of Barragh (Bunclody / Bun Clodi), County Wexford and wife Ann Elizabeth Warren (b.1790).  Joseph and Ann Moulton, and their sons Joseph (b.c1806) and John (b.1819) emigrated to Canada in the spring of 1819 settling in Lanark County, Ontario.

This couple appears to have been a part of a much larger family group which came to Canada in the early years of the 19th century.

A North Barry Yeomanry discharge granted "for purpose of going to America", dated March 1817, releases William Moulton, James Moulton, Joseph Moulton Sr. and Joseph Moulton Jr.

A James Moulton (1784-1859) with a party of seven arrived in Canada in 1817. A William and Benajmin Moulton also arrived in 1817. There was also an Ann Moulton, wife of John Jacob and a John Moulton married to Jane Dobbs. Also Joseph Moulton and his son Thomas Moulton arriving in 1818. Finally an Elizabeth Moulton wife of Patrick Lennen.

Dear Ron,

I'm not sure if you are still checking this link so I will just leave a quick message and see what happens. I have just joined the forum so I am checking back through lots of old topics in case I see anything of interest or that I can contribute to.

Re: Moulton ..... just this very day I made a family tree for a neighbour of mine (Sutton is their name) and back through their family tree there are Moultons and I am almost certain I saw the name Barnahask.

If I hear from you, I will share what I have.
