I found the entries in the BMD index from the IOW FHS.
http://www.isle-of-wight-fhs.co.uk/bmd/start.htmWilliam died in 1875 aged 73, Sarah died in 1874 aged 71, both in Ryde RD. There was also a Frances Ann Kirkpatrick aged 75 who died in 1876, also in Ryde RD. Interestingly Sarah's entry includes the name Sweet - possibly a previous married name?
A Susan Kirkpatrick married Henry Daly at St Mary Carisbrooke in 1852. They had a son Edward Dermot Daly in 1853 and another Hugh in 1860. No other Kirkpatrick marriages on the IOW 1837-1874.

The Sarah S Kirkpatrick is the grandmother of Hugh Daly and widowed on 1871 census (RG10/1165/42 p 36), with both Hugh and a granddaughter with her (the granddaughter born in India). Sarah is of independent means and was born in London.
Does that help?
