Hi

Ditto my previous message about tracking Edward

It may be possible to track Edward as a consul in Forign Office or Colonial Office Records held at The National Archives.

http://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/catalogue/researchguidesindex.asp

The National Archives research guides are there for both the foreign and colonial office as British Honduras, now Belize was a colony, probably more colonial office than foreign office.

Esq and its use in both in England and America

Hi

The information is to scant, so I can only Google the same as you

http://www.aluka.org/action/showContentImage?doi=10.5555/AL.AP.VISUAL.KLDC8042&pgs=

He appears to hold a doctorate of science

and from Google books

'Edward KIRKPATRICK, docteur en sciences naturelles de l'Université de Bruxelles, consul de SM Britannique dans le Honduras, décédé à Kingston....'

This man doesn't seem to have lived in England
