Fanny Harvey's mother Sarah maiden name

How can I find the maiden name of Sarah Harvey,Fanny Harvey mother born 1847 Frindsbury Kent.
Found the birth of a James Robert Harvey for 1838 Bromley Greater London,with his baptism 1839 Strood Kent to parents James and Sarah Harvey.

The birth certificates of either Fanny or James should give their mother's maiden name.
If you think the marriage could have been in Strood you could try trawling through the marriages on the Medway Cityark site:
http://cityark.medway.gov.uk/

Thanks for that info.I have Fanny's birth cert,but it gives no father.I must get James cert.Have looked at many years on Cityark without any luck.But I am not sure if they married in Strood as James was born in Bromley.

Are you sure these 2 births are related?
It would be very unusual for the father not to be named unless the parents weren't married. 
If there is no maiden name given for the mother I think you have to wonder if she was married.

I am fairly sure the birth are related.On the 1841 census Sarah has a daughter Elizabeth ages 5 and a son James 2 living in Strood.But no father given.Found a death of a James Harvey Medway 1840.I donot think James was Fanny's father but on her marriage cert it gives her father as James.I donot think I will ever find Fanny's father but finding Sarah's maiden name may help with my family tree.Fanny on the 1861 census was living with her sister Elizabeth.Elizabeth was married to Richard Springate and living in Chatham.

Have just sent for the birth certificate for James Robert Harvey born 1838 Bromly Kent.He seems to fit with the James Robert baptised 1839 Strood and the James Robert death Medway 1848.

Hi.
The birth certificate for James Robert Harvey born Bromley was the wrong James!!
Sent for another James Robert Harvey born Strood(He was baptised before he was registered!!)
I think now I have the right James!!
The certificate gives his mother's maiden name as Filmer!!
Not come across this name before in my reseach.
Have looked but cannot find a family which may fit.
Still unable to find Fanny or her family on the 1851 census.
Can anyone help please??

I can't see any obvious candidates for Fanny in 1851. 
Are you sure Sarah's first husband didn't die?   She could have remarried and her children taken the name of husband No.2

Yes I have found a death for a James Harvey Medway 1840.Think Sarah and family found on 1841 census living in Strood with daughter Elizabeth 5 and son James 2(no husband)
On Fanny's birth certificate it gives her mother as Sarah Harvey no father.If Sarah had remarried and he died maybe she went back to using the surname Harvey!
Also found the deaths for a Sarah and James Harvey deaths Medway 1848!
Have looked though many years on cityark for Strood and Frindsbury but not found Sarah and James marriage!
