Interested in information sharing with anyone who has the William Gardner-Janet Mitchell family tree.  William and Janet, both born est. 1715-1721 in Falkirk, married on 24 Mar 1742 in Falkirk.  Their children were:

     3. Margaret, b. 7 Sept 1746
     4. Jean Hardie, b. 10 Jul 1748
     5. William, b. 21 Jun 1749
     6. Andrew, b. 17 Mar 1751
     7. Helen, b. 17 Jan 1753
     8. Margaret, b. 17 Jan 1753
     9. John, b. 4 Jan 1756
    10. John b. 17 Feb 1760
    11. Alexander, b. 5 Jun 1763.

I am descended from #10 - John born in 1760 who married Katharine Bryce on 19 Jul 1787 in Cambusnethan, Lanarkshire and died on 6 Jul 1829 in Stane, near Shotts, Lanarkshire.  Seeing information about any of the above Gardners -marriages, death dates, locations, names of children, occupations, etc. as well as any information on the family of Janet Mitchell and Katharine Bryce.

Hiya my names Aaron Gardner and I have a William Gardner christened on the 17th April 1709 his Father was William Gardner and his mother was Elizabeth Hardie but I have found it to be recorded as Elspet Hardie

Hi Aaron,

Welcom news indeed to hear from you.  I am Dave Gardner, son of William b, 1903 in Glasgow to David b. 1859 in Bathgate to William b. 1821 in Shotts to William b 1793 in Cambusnethan to John b. 1760 in Falkirk to William b. 1709 in Falkirk.  That William was married to Janet Mitchell and had 11 children, all in Falkirk. John married Katharine Bryce and had 8 children all born in Cambusnethan.  Their William was one of the 8 and he married Isabella Cook, having 10 children, all born in Shotts except for the first born in Hamilton. Their son William born 1821 married Jane Trotter and had 7 children born in Shotts, Bathgate and Muiravonshire.  Their son David born in 1859 in Bathgate married Elizabeth Sutherland of Thurso in 1898 and they had 3 sons: David(1899-1900) William (1903-1968) and John Stanley (1905-1923). William was my dad.  I have lots of family research and would be willing to share any of it with you if you like.  I would also be very interested in where your family linkage is to the 1709 William.   Looking forward to communicating with you,
