As I recall, he was a director of a company in Leeds. As a boy I remember visiting my grandparents and he was always dressed in a sober 3-piece suit, triby and carrying a briefcase.  He might have been in the clothing business as my father told me he was a salesman in a store selling sheets and blankets and such like. It may be that my step-grandfather arranged this job for him pre-WWII.
I also remember my Aunt Sally quite well. She was a spinster and took in professional ladies as lodgers. She lived and died in Leeds too, although, again, I have no details on her birth or death. My step-grandfather was cremated at Lawnswood Crematorium in Leeds as I recall, so perhaps this was the final resting place for his sister Sally too.
Merry Christmas,

That's great that you found him, Day. Thanks for letting me know how you got on. ;D

I always have to get the death certificate so that I can finish the story. I just have to know what happened to them. :'(

Hi Darcy,
The Lower Agbrigg threw me. I remember my grandmother taking me to a particular spot on a driveway of Lawnswood Cemetery/crematorium in Leeds where his ashes had been scattered. I presumed Lawnswood was in Leeds District but wouldn't remember how to get to it nowadays - it was such a long time ago. Now I know it must have been Wakefield, Yorks.

Hi Day, ;D

I'm really pleased that you have done so well with your research on Rueben.

I have proved time and again that I have remembered information incorrectly - or got something wrong. ::)

It's great when it all comes together.

Darcy ;D
