As I recall, he was a director of a company in Leeds. As a boy I remember visiting my grandparents and he was always dressed in a sober 3-piece suit, triby and carrying a briefcase. He might have been in the clothing business as my father told me he was a salesman in a store selling sheets and blankets and such like. It may be that my step-grandfather arranged this job for him pre-WWII.
I also remember my Aunt Sally quite well. She was a spinster and took in professional ladies as lodgers. She lived and died in Leeds too, although, again, I have no details on her birth or death. My step-grandfather was cremated at Lawnswood Crematorium in Leeds as I recall, so perhaps this was the final resting place for his sister Sally too.
