1841 Look Up Please :)
« on: Friday 23 December 05 00:50 GMT (UK) »
If anyone has access to the 1841 census for somerset, i would be grateful for a look up for :

Peter Mullet
b 1831 Drayton Somerset.

I have found him on the 1851 in Essex employed by the East India company, but i assume in 1841 he is about 10 years of age and lives with his parents in Somerset.

From a random web page, i have found that there are 4 people with the surname "Mullet" and 18 "Mullett" surnames on the 1841.

Cheers

Vikki

Quarman - Bethnal Green Middlesex and Watford Hertfordshire

Wood - Wednesfield Staffordshire and South Australia

Mullett/Mullet - Drayton Somerset

Lawrence - Wiltshire

Lisher - Sompting Sussex

Wood - Sittingbourne Kent

Hi there
Do you have Peter in any later censuses or other records?  My husband is descended from Agnes Mullett (her first name was, gloriously, Eightema).

Thanks

Did Agnes marry William Stuckey??  I don't have too much info on her.

Peter went off to India and married an Eliza Trubury (nee Harrison) who is one of my dead ends.  They had a daughter Louisa Matilda Mullet born in around 1857 in India who married into my Quarman family.  She married William Quarman who at the time was in the Brit Army stationed in India.  They had 5 children in India before moving back to the UK and having a stack more children!

Yes Agnes married William Stuckey in 1853 in Langport and they had at least 8 children.  Fanny Stuckey b1860 is my husband's gg-grandmother.  I think Agnes died in 1892 in Bridgwater (Jun 1892 Bridgwater 5c 257).

Happy to send you more on the Stuckeys - thanks for the info on Peter - no wonder I couldn't trace him any further!

Best wishes
Caroline
