Hi Guys,

Thank you all for your replies,

Yes there was a wedding in 1840 in Wymington, I have all of Harriets details, its just John. The witnesses were harriets side of the family.

I have obtained his dads name from this however when searching Anc*** & G*nes I can't find any record of him (Joseph Wil(l)mer was his name). I'd guesstimate that he would of been born around 1790+/-. John & H were married in 1840 and appear in the 1841 census as 'Wilmore' I've search for a Joseph Wil(l)mer around the same time in 1841 census but to no avail....

It's frustrating because its the only strand of my tree where the trail has gone cold and Its the strand i'd most want to go back furthest on as its the origin of my name.

I'm guessing that John & Harriet moved to wymington but from where....?

I've found the Rushden Heritage site to be a great help but I think I've exhausted it with regards to this. :'(

Regards,
Carl

You are welome Carl.

Somewhere I have a family tree for the Desborough family of Wymington
as I had a friend who was related to them.

Nowadays though most info can be found on the web, so you should be able
to find the lineage you seek, either through Rootschatters or resources.

Best of luck.
