New to Rootschat - Surnames in Sussex
« on: Wednesday 14 December 05 16:09 GMT (UK) »
Hi,

My Sussex names are Colbran, Cornwell, Gorringe, Head, Hemsley, Wilmshurst and Wren. Buxted, East Hoathley, Framfield,  Mayfield. Connect to many other families in these areas.

I've seen some very interesting messages on Rootschat and when I've searched  a bit more some of you are likely to hear from me but if any of my surname interests grabs your attention I'll look forward to hearing from you first.

Hi
Welcome to the Sussex board - much the best one!Have you looked at The Weald website?   Link at the top of the Sussex board.  I have the 1851 census booklets for those areas if you need any help there.

Hi Andrea,

I've been doing my Sussex family for five years and long been an advocate of Sussex Weald and even contributed some pictures and have Ancestry. I'm not really looking for people anymore but have noticed some similar interests and connections on Rootschat so thought I'd give it a try.

If you're on Rootsweb Sussex List you would probably know me.

Best wishes,

Linda

Hi Black cat

I see that one of your Sussex names is Hemsley. It is one of my main lines. Can I help you? My Grandad was Harold son of Albert Hemsley and Elizabeth Farnes.

Best wishes
