William Hemingway appears in the 1881 census aged 44 birth place Earlsheaton.Living in Spring Head Terrace.
Hannah Hemingway (wife)nee rayner born April 1843 Earlsheaton.
At the time of marriage in 1861 William was 24 and Hannah 17.
From these dates it seems William was born late 1836 early 1837, I have checked the GRO from July 1837, no entry found.
 William and Hannah had 9 children, 1 of those children,Joseph Hemingway, is my great grandfather.
I live in the staffordshire area and my local archive centre unfortunately does not have the necessary records for me to check.
I am particularly interested in Williams family, his father was a John Hemingway possibly a clothier(marriage cert. of Wm Hannah)
