Hello Ken.....have just been looking through my records on Stock, Hares etc......I have not done very much on these families... have taken a lot of notes but have not really sat down to try to piece the families to-gether....it has been in the too hard basket for sometime.....I do have a Jacob Hares 1743.....parents William Hares 1703 married to Elizabeth Phippen 1710...Rowberrow...... Rowberrow & Shipham seem to be very near to each other.......families seem to overlap......my Stocks came from Rowberrow but ended up in  SW Bristol & Bedminster.......George Stock b 1843(my line) & Elisha Hemens Stock b 1845(his brother)......on 1881 Census Occupations are Box Maker (Paper) & Warehouse Labourer....just a thought on Aaron Wilson being a Papermaker.....I will keep you in mind when  I try to get some order into the Family Tree...Janet

Hi Janet, Just a quick one Jacob Hares married Amelia Wilson here in Bristol at Pip n Jays St Jacob's and St Phillip's Aug 1849,  on the 1849 census they are shown living at Banwell Jacob is shown as being a mason.
!861 census show them to be living just off  Stokes Croft Bristol. Jacob dies in  1864  still quite a young man aged 38 he was born Shipham 1825 or 1826.
Obviously quite a few Stocks and Hares came to Bristol. I have not been able to find where he is buried though but would love to know.
Do have a look at the familysearch site and type in Sarah Athay Shipham Somerset and look at the family tree which has alrady been done
  Regards Ken
