Elizabeth (Addison) Johnston b.c.1833 Dundee

Hi There

I'm looking for an Elizabeth (Addison) Johns(t)on who was believed to have been born abt. 1833 in Dundee. Her father was James Johnston.  She may or may not have Addison as a second name.

I have no other details about her in Scotland. She married Alexander Crawford in 1857 in Geelong,Victoria,Australia and eventually ended up in NZ where she died.

I'd be very grateful for an 1841 or 1851 census look-up, or any other help or suggestions as to finding this very elusive lady.

In my tree I have a Mary Steavenson marrying Leiutenant John Charles Johnstone 29 Jan 1811 berwick upon Tweed. No further details but Mary had a sister and mother named Elizabeth and a Brother named Addison. Might be a red herring but i thought I'd mention it.

Coincidentally, some of my family were living at the same address as yours - 54 West Port - in the 1851 census and later ended up in Vic in the mid 1850s ... I would be interested to hear if you know any details of Elizabeth Johns(t)on's passage to Australia?

Not at this stage but working on it.  I wonder why they were in the same house....is there some connection?
