1841 census Hale Barns
« on: Monday 06 September 04 16:16 BST (UK) »
Hello,

I have a tithe map for the above area[1842] showing a cottage or farm called "Artingstalls" it is near Easter Lane, can anyone tell me if the family were there on the 1841 census, thanks.

Norma

Hi Norma

Although there is no index and some of the names are difficult to read there dosn't seem to be a name that resembles
Artinstall in Hale or the surrounds.
Have you tried the 1851 ? I could have a look for if you would like.

Thank you Peter, that would be very helpful if it's not too much trouble.

Norma.

Hi Norma
I have looked on the 1851 for Artinstall in Hale and sorry there is none, there are several in the Atringham area, is there one family in particular your interested in ? let me know and I will see what I can find.
