Hi Keera
I am sure that we must belong to the same family, I have not got back as far as you, but my Grandfather was Frank Spokes born Ecton about 1884.  His father William Spokes was born in Holcot as all the family before him.  William was married to Lydia Dent.  Could we be on the same lines

Best regards

Sheri

They had the following children:
   9   i.   William (1871-)

Hi keera

Yep its the same family, Ann Jane spokes was born in 1870 she was the first born of William and Lydia Dent.  My Mum remembers Mary Anne junior (Franks sister) and Lizzie.  My Mum is Franks youngest and only surviving child she will be 80 a week today.  I have attached a photo of Frank (the young man) I hope that you can open it OK.  If not I will email.  Do you have the line any earlier than Samuel ( I have him down has being born 1814).  Frank was married twice the first time To Ethel Spokes daughter of his uncle Samuel.  The second marriage was to Florence Starkey (my grandmother).  Because she died when my mum was only 5, I do not know anything about her (pity) as my Mum would love to know.

Best regards

Sheri
