Thomas Whittaker to Katherine Dabell 1860 -1871 most probably in Nottingham, maybe Sherwood area. could some kind person look this up for us on the Notts marriage index. Carol in Wollaton

Was your Katherine born about 1830/31? If so, I suspect she may have been married before. If not, forget I mentioned it

I found quite a lot of info and typed it all out nicely into notepad. Now the **** thing won't let me paste it into a message here for Copyright reasons 

Basically Katherine Anne Dabell baptised 07/11/1829 to William and Ann at Nottingham St Mary.

A marriage at St Marys 02/01/1849 of Catherine Ann Dabell and Edward Reuben Eyre

In 1851 she is living with parents and listed as Dabell but also down as married. In 1861 she is living with her mother, but this time she is Catherine A Eyre 31, widow.

I'm off out now and don't have time to type it all out, but if you don't find her before I get back I'll sort it!

Strange that there's no sign of Edward Eyre. Of course, if she were a deserted wife, there is always the possibility that she and Thomas did not marry at all?
