date of death for Thomas as 1874 and you have 1871

It might be a mis-transcription, especially if the gravestone is worn.  I'll have a look the next time I'm out that way.

Transcription does have 1871 - which as his death is registered in 1874 must either be a transcription error or as Leonie said maybe worn and error made that way.

Meanwhile, I was wondering if someone could do me a favour.

I have finally discovered that my 3rd-great grand aunt is buried in the Church of England Section of Rookwood.  She died at a great age at Newington Asylum without leaving children so I've got my fingers crossed there is a gravestone.

Her husband:
Thomas Lambert died 1908

and

Emma Kezia Lambert died 5 Aug 1911

Do either of these appear in any of the transcription CDs?

Ah the Salier monument!  Thanks for reminding me.  Between the weather and various appts I didn't make it last week.  Now that it is fine again, I will try for tomorrow.
