Bernard McAdam
« on: Wednesday 23 November 05 02:32 GMT (UK) »
I am looking for information regarding Bernard McAdam.  He was born in 1904 and died in 1918.  I believe that he died in a mining accident somewhere near Airdire.

I have thoroughly checked the records at Scotlandspeople.com and have not been able to find anything.

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,
Found this site had this on it. Not sure if it helps!!!

21st September 1918
The body of Bernard McAdam, 14 years of age, Back Row, Greengairs, was found in the workings of the inundated Stanrigg Colliery. The body was jammed among hutches, and was considerably mutilated. This is the boy who had just begun work in the Colliery.

Hi Ali:

Thank you so much for the quick reply.  I have been working for months trying to find any information that I could on Bernard McAdam.  I could not even locate a death certificate.

Your information was perfect.  I have now found a long lost relative whose life ended tragically.

On behalf of my entire family, thank you!
