That is my family.

Hannah is listed as 'Hannah EDWARDS EVANS' - I don't know if she was previously marriage to a Mr EDWARDS, or if that was her maiden name...

I am also having difficulty finding a St Mary's in Gloucestershire... I'll have to post a query on the Gloucestershire section of this board...

John EVANS birthplace of Llansillin is on the Denbighshire/Montgomeryshire border - hence the confusion.

Thank you, think I'll email them on Monday, I've just been looking at your results on the census. Did they sometimes get the age different, although Charles and Ruth have the same birth years their parents don't.
Is there a records office  in Swansea??? I could always drop myself on my cousin for a few days,.

Harriet Rowland  61  Bristol
Geroge Rowland  31 son  Bristol
Jane Couzens      20  Ilfracombe

  31 Orange Street,  Swansea.

Would you be able to see if there is any one on the 1851/1841 census,  I don't think that Jane would be there.
I was at Kew on thursday and have found the marriage of George and Jane in 1862.

There are Harriet ROWLANDs on the 1851 Glamorgan Census, but they are a very young age.

The only George ROWLAND I found is at the follwing address:

Hi Thanks SS_Rhondda for helping me with the look up’s, much appreciated!  ~ Sorry for my delay in my response, I have been away all weekend and have been inundated by emails upon my return ~ Sorry.

Here is the only 2 matches to Charles Davies. There are of them in the Census however only 2 could be matches. I feel the 2nd entry with Charles being a  Boarder is the more likely one, due to the wife’s name in the 1st entry not the same as the details given:

I have to birth of Charles and Sarahs Son James. so am waiting for cert to see maiden name of  Sarah.
So he might have been in lodgings before getting married?
It's so difficult when you live so far away.

Is there a records office in Swansea that I could go and look at parish records?

Sorry but is CWMTWRCH  a place, as on 1881  he was shown as born Swansea.
