My GGG Grandparents William Duff and Martha Graham were married in Craigs, near Ballymena, Antrim on 13 May 1846.
On their marriage record it says that William is the son of Thomas Duff. William was listed as a weaver. Thomas as a labourer.. William was born in Fowlis Wester, Perth /County in 1824 (I think).
Martha was the daughter of Samuel Graham. He is listed as a weaver on the marriage record.
The Banns were by Rev G. Kirkpatrick. Denomination of both was Church of Ireland.
William and Martha were in Crieff, Scotland by 1855. Three children were born in Ireland. (possible names are Mary, Margaret, Lily). Other chn, all born in Crieff were Sarah 1855, Martha Jane 1857, Thomas 1869, William 1865, Robert 1867 and Samuel 1869.
I need help please ...
* When and where was Martha Graham born - (on birth entries for chn in Crieff she is listed as Martha Jane Graham.)
* Who was her mother?
* Who were her siblings?
Family history says that Samuel Graham had 5 chn.
Martha Jane was the eldest and Agnes? ("Blind Aggie") the 4th child. Agnes's headstone says that she was born in Belfast Ireland on 1 Nov 1836.
(According to family story) Samuel and wife died abt 1845 in Ireland.
The Duffs and at least Agnes left Ireland in abt 1852.
Can anybody help please...
