Hi, my family lived in  Treboeth and Manselton and Brynhyfrwd  until 1960 . The family names are Williams, Rees and now Lewis. Grandfather Williams was works engineer at Swansea Smelter for 40 years until 1930.The century from 1860 on saw family at Llangefelach Church and Caersalem Chapel. After WW1 some family emigrated to US and later others emigrated to Canada.
Lewis family had farmed land near Llangefelach Church until 1960,
I can remember as a boy visiting Treboeth library and this would be a good source of info on Llangefelach Road.
Hope this helps
Mansel

No, unfortunately I don't speak Welsh... I grew up in Lewisham, South London!

(Ironic to think that my father & his brothers were beaten if they were heard to speak Welsh at achool).

I also can't find the Link... Can anyone on here find it, & translate?

Cheers, Romilly.

Hi Romilly,
Also failed to make the link to the National Library of Wales page, but a search on the site for y plas treboeth brought up these pages: http://papuraunewyddcymru.llgc.org.uk/en/search/query?query=plas+treboeth&date[min]=1804&date[max]=1919
As you can see, the collection finishes in 1919. Can't offer to search any further for you now, but like others, I'm sure, could translate Welsh items you want to look into.
                              Happy hunting,
                                          Pinot
