Hi Annie,

I don't know how you do it.

I have some of the information but not in the format you seem to have.  I have no information about the children, but I know some of their names. I haven't any information about Joseph, but I think he was an orphan.  I do know they were in Oswestry with my Grandfather and I believe it was a big family.

I am trying to locate the ship my Grandfather Girolomo came back on between 1904 and 1910, he was in Shrewsbury in March 1910, it may give me some more information.

Today I sent of 21 letters to various towns and villages in Italy, its worth a try, but perhaps I am wasting postage.

I am trying to locate the ship from Naples my Great Grandmother ( don't know her first name) came on to Liverpool in 1919. My cousins say they had her visa, but they have lost it.

Thanks again for the help.

Quote
USA (and Canada) did not keep outbound lists. The records for all ship passengers travelling
between 1890 and 1960 survives within the collection of original British Board of Trade passenger lists. The only place they can be seen is at the Public Record Office in Kew, England.

These lists are not filmed, not indexed and they are not available on-line.

Hi Annie,

Yes I have seen the young man, there's no doubt he is my Grandfather Girolomo Gentile. He went on to marry Annie Taylor as John Taylor before the Birth of Maria Gentili, who was christened Mary Gentile Taylor, In your previous Message.

Thanks for the information on the ships leaving America, I have emailed the company to get the cost. I think I could do with going to Kew.

Could you let me have all the information you have on Maria, Joseph and the children.

Grateful

George

So was Antonio his Dad then?

I'll PM you with the other information as I can't post them on here! ( too recent!!)

You might try Scottie Press - you may find some information about Street Musicians !!
can't remember their url off the top of my head but if you Google - you'll get it!!

Hi Annie,

Yes Antonio was his Dad. I didn't know he was in the country until about 6 months ago when we visited Oswestry Library and the researcher found his obituary in an old newspaper. Girolomo registered him.

It looks like Antonio's wife never lived here, but I don't know where Maria/Mary was in 1901 as she wasn't with Annie and Girolomo. She appeared again in Chester when she married Joseph Diponio.

Many thanks for the other information.

In your debt once again

Best wishes.

George

Hi, Shep,

None of these are my Grandfather Girolomo Gentile. He was with my Grandmother in Shrewsbury on that date. My uncle Antonio was born on the 19 March 1910 and it was my Grandfather who registered him.
I am trying to find out when he returned to the UK.
