A2A = Access to Archives. It's a great site where you can find reference to ancestors through many documents involving Land, removal orders, settlements etc.

Ages weren't always correct on census as most people didn't always know exactly when they were born, if they did, then there was always that temptation to tell a little 'porkie pie' to make them younger or older, as the case maybe

As far as spelling of names was concerned, again, many people could not read or write so they couldn't check what was recorded by the clerk, and if he had asked, 'is that Elliot with one T or two?' they wouldn't have had a clue
