1841 census "st george in the east" London
« on: Saturday 12 November 05 22:42 GMT (UK) »
Hi all,

I am looking for a :

Caroline Newman born 1834 abt. at 'Meager" ( not sure of the spelling)

I have found her in the 1851 census as a vistor with her aunt Elizabeth and uncle thomas  Underwood in Wales .

I am hoping that in 1841 she is with her parents she would have been around 7 years old then.

I am trying to tie her in with my family of :

John Newman / thomas Newman  / Fraser Newman ( all brothers )

All born St George in the East.

Kind regards

Jean Parker

Hello

I'm doing a bit of housekeeping and noticed this older request.  Wondering if you are still looking for anything on this topic or you have resolved it in the meantime?  If you're still looking, this might be a tough one to find so do you have any further info to add that might assist finding them?

If we don't hear from you in a while, I'll assume the latter and move it to the 'completed' section.

Dear Biker,

Many thanks for the reply. I have since found some more information about Caroline. I found her in Magor with her parents John and  Eliza, but they have her down as being 3years old.

Not sure about this age difference.

As I can't find her anywhere before that i am assuming that this is my Caroline and maybe the census for 1841 was incorrect.

Also i have never been able to find her other uncles Thomas or Fraser.

Never mind they will turn up some day. I am thinking of getting in a film for the parash to see if it might shed some light .

Once again thanks for the email.

Regards

Jean ( Adelaide, South Australia)
