Can anyone out there give me the name and address of the Catholic Church in Newry.  Finally found out that one of my ancestors was born in Newry.

Seasons Greetings Calgarian,

Newry is in Co. Down so I will arrange for this to be moved to the correct county.  Google is an excellent search engine. I keyed the words "Newry Catholic Churches" and this is the second site that was mentioned in the search www.newrycathedral.org

What is your ancestors name and in what period was your ancestor living? You may find that the people on the Co. Down board will offer further assistance.

All the Best, Christopher

Thanks Christopher for your reply.  The Newry church was just a long shot as on Family Search there was a Patrick Harvey born in Newry with a close birth year and a mother named Rose Harvey

My gt. grandparents were born in Co. Armagh according to the England 1871 Census.  I need their place of birth and marriage but I don't know where in Co. Armagh they are from.

Patrick Harvey and Rose Harvey (nee McNally) were born, married and had their first five children in Co. Armagh.

These are the dates I have.

Patrick Harvey b. 1826
Rose Harvey (nee McNally) b. 1831
Alice Harvey b. 1853 (daughter)
Mary Harvey b. 1854 (daughter)
Thomas Harvey b. 1856 (son)
Patrick Harvey b. 1859 (son)
Peter Harvey b. 1861 (son)
