Sarah  Wife of John Lutas who died 31st Aug 1893 age 57
Reggie son of John & Poebe Lutas and Grandson of the above died, 16th May 1894 age 18Months
Also John Lutas Husband of the above.Died 23rd Feb 1906 aged 72 years.
Also Margaret daughter of the above John & Sarah Lutas
Died 9th June 1944 age 69 years.

I found two stones today,Took photo's of both the second one was a smaller white stone I must have been to slow taking the second one so it switched itself off  to save the batteries.I never noticed, it isn't in the camera.It does that because it hasn't got an internal memory.However i found some paper and coppied the inscription of that one.They may not pertain (love that word)to you but you never know.The bottom of the stone ,not visable says. Also Margaret Mary Beloved wife of the above  who died Feb 9th 1944 age 79.The additional flat stone says."Also thier son John Owen Lutas.Dear Husband of Ada 24th April 1989 age 89.
The memorial stone said. I.L.M.Of  John Thomas Lutas died 1925 age 57. And his wife Phoebe Lutas, died 1950 age 80.Also their daughter Doris Anderson, Died 1964 age 59.

I am interested in a burial look up from the records at Landican Cemetery, Birkenhead for an Edmund Eddowes, who died about 1961.   I would also be interested in any other information the records may contain, like birth date, parents name, etc.   - for the purpose of my husband's genealogy.

I can look up a burial in Landican for you,have you any idea what religion Edmund Eddowes was(was he welsh;) )if so that will cut down the search time.Or if your not sure,but they weren't catholic.That helps a lot too Because the religions are on separate films,.Is it possible for you to look up on the On line B.M.D. for the correct year of death.If not no problem but,can you give me a time span to search. (1961 5 years after or before?)
You will not find information on Adult burials as to parent,they are given only on a child's burial.Parents names only appear on Birth and marriage certificates. It will give  date of burial,age,his abode,type of burial,private,or which class,1,2,or three. Also the plot number where the grave can be found.

Thank you SO much for your reply.   We actually visited Landican a year+ ago and were told he was buried, I believe, #524, RC7, however we could not find it, so believe there was no stone placed.   Unfortunately, in my wisdom!, didn't think of asking about his age, death date and whatever else they may have on record.   We think he was born about 1880 and died about 1961 or 62, as my husband remembers him retiring when he was a child and dying when he was about 19 yrs old.   He was Catholic and that is about all I can tell you.   Thought if I could narrow down his birth date, from his death date, I may be able to order his birth certificate.  Thanks again.   "Talk" to you soon.

thanks for your quick reply, this means  i can go and do the look up this afterternoon.The libray is only open thurs/fri.and half day sat.How nice you know the religion, and the approx year.It makes things so much easier.

Hello Celia,
We have just found your kind offer of lookups for Rake Lane Cemetery.Could you please help with the following:-
Helen Southcomb died 2/04/1955 at 11 Trafalgar Avenue, Wallasey.
Her father, William Southcomb died 14/08/1924 same address.
Her mother Helen Alexander Southcomb died 27/08/1933 again same address.
They were not catholic, probably non-conformist, possibly C.of E.

Would you believe it,i could not find your Edmund in Landican.I did have the right film 1864 to 1962.The film had General and non conformist.I did not find Catholic.Which the reference book says are on it. I checked the non cons but didn't find him.I spent a good hour and a half checking the film carefully. Don't worry though;) i will go back next week and look at the same film and go back further from 1961 we know he is there somewhere.Then find out why the burials end in 62.Sorry i haven't got better news.Sometimes due to certain facts unknown to us a burial might be found  in another search under non cons.Not where one would expect say in the C.O.E so i now look at both.
