Hi Celia,
Thanks for your quick reply, and just for your records and my elusive Grandfather  Reginald Edwin Hannah, you found who had not passed away as according to family lore in 1926 or so, he actually died as you know many years later.
I am in contact with his eldest son who took this photo and is still alive and is now 86 years old and still travelling to Greece for his Christmas holidays.
When I got the photo I was stunned  :o as my MUM (got goosepimples now) looked exactly like him.
I have posted a picture of him he is the last one on the right ,and THANKS TO YOU.
You should be very proud of yourself!!! :-* :-*and I want all to know who use your forum that you are the best and an everlasting thanks for giving me a GRANDAD!!!!
I will PM you with the email I received of his son Ronald who took the photo!! Yep at 86 he is a whizz on the computer!!
Cheers & Thanks again

Aw Maureen
you are so kind ;D,but i wanted to find your family as well and i have ;)

Joseph Edward Ryan was buried in Rake lane on 17th February 1947 in the same section as  Martha  2r if i remember rightly. It was entered in the Roman Catholic section.Unfortunately again it is a common grave so no headstone. It gives a grave number but it is a number/number and i am not sure what that means. As that plot seems to have a lot of common burials it might take time to find out where the grave it. But at least we now know where he is at last ;D I love the photo it must have been a shock for you to recieve it and actualy know what he and his family looked like.

Hi Celia,
Many thanks again for finding where he is buried and again you where correct even tho I gave you the wrong details in the beginning.
It doesnt matter that there isnt a headstone as remember you posted me a couple of photos of where his wife Martha Agnes Kate Ryan is buried and that is suffice so he will be close by.
Re the photo it is of my Grandfathers second family with his wife, son & daughter in law.
Cheers for now and see you soon.
Many many thanks again for all your hard work!!
Maureenxxxx
PS I will PM you now re the info of Reginald etc.

Hello Celia,
I hope you can help me, I am trying to find where my grandfather is buried for my father. My father would like to visit his grave before he dies (he has cancer).
We live in Hampshire.
Information i have is:
Name: Isaac John Nixon
Born: 1895
Died: April 1934.

My father believes he is buried in Wallasey main cemetery.
I look forward to your reply.

Regards,
Darren

I didn't find him In the C.O.E. Section so i looked in the Non.Con.There isn't a burial for an Issac John Nixon in April but there is one for Issac Nixon (which looks like Nixson at first glance)age 36 buried 28th March 1834.Abode 6 Leominster Road, that is off Mill Lane in Liscard.I looked in St Hilary as well but noting there. Because the death was late in the month of March the entry didn't get to the records till April. So is this him do you think?

Hi Celia,
Do you mean 28th March 1934 not 1834?
I've spoke to dad and he's pretty sure that's him, he knows he died in his 30s early 1934, I'll let you know.
Thank you

Yes i did mean 19 not 18 sorry ::) like most of us on rootschat we spend most of our time in the eighteen hundreds and automatically put 8 instead of 9.Looks like i have the right one then,if it's nice tomorrow i will have a look and see if there is a gravestone.
