If there are any M.I's for Birkenhead Church yards they will be in book form The main Library in Birkenheads reference room might have some.I don't know the churchyards in Birkenhead so have never looked at any books.Its sounds to me that if they were welsh they might be in a welsh church Yard.As far as i know there isn't any M.I's for  B/Head church yards on the net.Don't think anyone has got round to doing it yet.

I was able to do your lookup, but I can’t find Joseph. I went to 1950.I did find in
1947
Buried May 6th Maggie Isobel Hammond age 58.
Abode 1 Valkyrie Road Wallasey
M.O.B. Third (sub) Sec 13c grave 763.

I found these on the way just in case; D
1947
Buried. 15th July Julia Hammond age 78. Abode 33.Field Road Wallasey(Emanuel) M.O.B 3rd class section 13c grave 222

1950 buried Nov 28th George William Hammond age 86. Abode 66 magazine lane wallasey (Emanuel) sec 8c grave 28

No headstone i am afraid there are a huge amount of blank spaces on 13 c

Well done I just contacted my mum and you are right enough They did live at 12 Rankin St
In fact she had forgotten all about living there till I mentioned your email .
Glad to see my grandparents buried together and in fact my mums brother is going ti have
a Wooden Cross with plaque on it soon I hope he still lives in wallasey though Im in Glasgow
now mum will have something to visit Thanks for everything Celia I wish the Fire Service were as
dedicated as you so we could find out what area  uniform he was wearing in the pic I have of him .

                   I'm nosing around your old 'look up requests'
Did you solve the whereabouts of the burial of David and Ellen?
I was brought up in Birkenhead. Livingstone street is part of the
Birkenhead district, not Tranmere. Has anyone pointed you in the directiion
of 'Flaybrick Cemetery' Only about a mile from Livingstone St and more
likely to used for local burials at the turn of the century. Its been more or less full for many years and 'Landican' is now the main cemetery. Rake Lane is a
fair distance away.

Thank you for the info re Livingstone Street - as I said my knowledge of Birkenhead leaves a lot to be desired.  I was born in Prenton but left at about 18 months old!!

I emailed the Birkenhead Record Office last year and I believe they checked Flaybrick but I am not 100%.  The email record is on a currently defunct laptop so I need to revive it to be certain.  Need to get that info before sending off again as I don't want to pay twice for the same search.
