Hi Anrea I will have to start leaving any finding on the topic. I cant remember if you have these or not. I have a feeling you have because i remember taking a photo. but i found these by chance on the through a film.

Burial 1962 April 17th Maurice Ronald McNab aged 60 years District Anlesey

Burial 23rd october 1963 Susan McNab aged 9 Hrs Plot 22c
48 Egerton Street New Brighton

To Jan Taylor

I dont know if this is yours. Burial 1948 August 6th
Elizabeth Alice Lutas age 77 years plot 12c 15 Sunbury Road Eg (Thats secombe)

Sandy I was unable to find any information on the stones you mentioned as its a different road for me. The lady that gave you the information or the church  must have a record of the move and who's stone they moved. You cannot move stones from one place to another without proper records. No One can do anything at any cemetery without the permission of Landican. Have you been there?

Hi celia thank you very much for your time and effort, i wrote to landeican last year but did not get a response i am off in a cuple of weeks will make a trip down there to enquire, i quite agree with you that records are kept but where. he is a copy of the e-mail i received from that lady no names mention so we wont affend anyone who might read this,

Sandra,

Landican do not have the records for the stones from Liscard Independent Chapel. You will recognise the stones in plot 14G as being earlier in date from the opening of the cemetery itself which was in 1888. Also the names will be the same as those in the burial book for Liscard Independent Chapel which are at Earlston

Now as you can see wether do i go from here i think the cem was open before 1888, I was told that the stone i am looking for was readable when it was in the old church some stomnes in plot 14g are cover by grass also they have put warning signs over the writting so you can not read them  ( I know they had to be made safe to the public like us ) but it would be nice to read any suggestions how to procede any futher   sandy

Hello Sandy, yes it's sad to say that Landican are not at all helpfull these days. one of the reasons i don't go there anymore. On the other hand  family research  has taken of since i started my tree a few years ago.So i suppose they got fed up with people asking questions. They are only there to arrange funerals after all. You are right in saying Rake lane opened before 1888. I had no idea The library had church Yard burial records, that might come in handy sometime ;D The cemetery staff have worked all through the spring summer and winter of last year and will continue to do so. To save grave stones and take away vandalized one. I noticed they are putting up new railing's and replacing old one's. I would like to think that my letters in the past have helped. I have said that the Gates  should be shut after dark like they used to be(.A young person was murdered there last year.Next stop my M.P ;)

Well I did APPRECIATE the photo of the gravestone no matter what!

With amazing technology....I right clicked and saved the photo off the post. I had emailed it to many cousins but today I went to Sams Club (a warehouse store division of Walmarts here) online, went to their photo center and actually uploaded it to them and ordered like 20 copies. I went to the store and picked them up less than an hour later and they were perfect! I am now going to send at least 15 out to cousins and Aunts who I have made albums with copies of old original family photos...including ones of the Taylors early 1900's....even have one of my William Taylor as Special Constible and you can see his badge number. So now will send out this photo of the headstone to add to their albums.

Have 2 more questions:

1. could you write out the directions of how to get to the cemetery and then once there how to get to the grave for me?  I will then give it to my Aunt who will want to see it once the weather is better and she is in her late 70's. It would make it easier for her to find it I'm sure.  :)

2. You've probably written this before in posts....but now that I have all this info I want to order both their death records......am hoping that their parents names are listed on the record like Robert's was. Is it still about 7 pounds? Can I do it online and pay by credit card?  If not do you know the address?

Wow if i had known you were going to do that i would have taken the top of the stone as well ;D but i wanted you to see the inscription. The headstone is taller than me ,but i am only 5ft ;D I did take a photo of the full stone but i keep forgetting to make the photo's smaller before i upload them. so the full one would have been large and taken ages to download everytime the page was opened.
Yes technology is a wonderfull thing. What you were able to do was fantastic. In answear to question 1 where will your aunt be coming from? If you print the map out on the previous I think? page. It would be best to enter by the second main gate. That is Rake lane, your aunt was right on saying the stone is on the edge.( in the middle)Before we knew the correct plot number i thought you meant round the edge of the cemetery.Thats were i looked last year, in regard to you ordering death certificates(who for) Parents names are only on Birth and Marriage certificates, not death ones. You don't need permission to die ;) Not in the U.K Anyway.
If you got the death information from U.K.B.M.D they have a form you can print out and send. In £ & pence cost £7.50.It also gives information about sending from abroad
hope this helps

Hu Celia..cant quite remember if I replied to you or not...have had a head cold right in the middle of a hot and humid summer, so cant think. I have copied the people on the list of McNabs for the 1912 directories. What date do those go up to?
I checked with my cousin and the Susan McNab that died as an infant was her cousins twin.
Thanks again
Cheers
