Sandy can you put a shortcut to this topic on your computer then you will come straight here. It will be quicker than giving instructions by P.M. ;) I did say not to get used to using P.M it will confuse you. Also i cant conduct this topic  Through a P.M as i need to see all posting. Dont worry take your time, if you are reading this found your way back ;)

Celia...I have had time to look over that burial document. I am afraid it is too old and thin to copy and be able to read the copy.
Basically here is the info you might be able to use:

Wallasey Cemetery
General Ground
Registrar of Grants No. 2692
William Thomas Taylor of 40 Edith Rd in the County Burrough of Wallasey paid 6 pounds 6 shillings for the plot for his heirs.
under the Common Seal of the Corporation 26 October, 1922

On the back was typed in when there had been burial
1st Interment  23 Sept 1922  Mary Ann Taylor 66 years
2nd  30 October, 1928 William Thomas Taylor 73 years
3rd Interment 23-12-1963 William John Taylor  80 years

Goes on to say:
By probate of the will of William Thomas Taylor dec'd dated the 14th day of June 1928,
*Here there are 2 initials because I think whoever typed this spelled the last name wrong...typed Russell but it was crossed out and hand written in Wilson*
Elizabeth Wilson of 40, Edith Road, Wallasey, daughter of the dec'd, is granted the exclusive of burial in the within mentioned grave, subject nevertheless to the rules, regulations and conditions under which the exclusive right of burial was granted,
* Here's the part I think you might use next time looking at records!

Registered in the General Registar of Private grave Vol. 1 Folio 152
22nd June 1929  signed N Cannon resister

I now see this is who initialed the mistake with the last name above...a N.C.

Anyway hop the Vol and folio will help narrow down the gravesite search for you!!!!!  :)

Love,
Karen

Me again

I was re-reading my Aunt's letter. In it she states that she had seen the headstone for William Thomas and Mary Taylor and was made of Black Marble. Their names are on it, along with the 2nd son named William BUT she mentions that my Grandfathers name is also on it a Robert Samuel Taylor or maybe Trainor (another long story) but interred in Clydebank, Scotland.
Just another thing to help you  :)

Hi Karen The register information should find this illusive plot ;) The registers are the original books from which were copied onto film. The film being the one's i use. Normally doing a burial look up doesn't take long when  the year is known. I am not sure at this time where the registers are held but i will find that out on my next visit. The problem in  your case has been the reglion. As you know i looked in both C.O.E & Catholic with no results. Now on my second visit  i was told that they must have been non conformist,so therefor would not have been buried in Rake Lane. I knew they were so didn't bother looking in Flaybrick :) Hopfully the register will tell us the religion. I can't visit the Archive till the weekend of next week, as i will be away this weekend and they are not open Mon/Tues/or Wed.
