Sigrid
this is a note for me ;D in case i have to refere back to previous look ups at some time.Using P.M.s for requests means no replies on the public board and i don't know why.
I delete my P.M's regular, so they are lost forever

So Thank you for your P.M with further lookups which i will do in the next few days. I am glad we both agreed on the middle name.Do you want me to put the results on this board or do you prefare a private reply.

Celia,

It's been suggested to me that you might be able to look up the burial of my great grandfather who died in 1936 on March 17th.
His death was registered in Birkenhead South.
His name was William Allison and he was aged 73 at death which occurred at 56 Church Rd.
Occupation given as electrician (Merchant Service) and his normal residence was "Stanleigh" Lingham Lane Wallasey U.D.
All of this is from his death certificate.
He is not buried with his wife and children who are all in Kirkdale Cemetery Liverpool.

Hope this isn't an imposition and that you can help

Celia,

Wonderful! - His children were C of E, baptised in I think, St. Matthew's Bootle. I'm assuming he was too. His marriage was in St. Mary's Walton.

Ken
I had a suspicion i would not find William in Rake lane and i was correct he isn't. The  reason thought i might not find him is because he was married in Liverpool the children were christened there they are buried in Liverpool.William died in Birkenhead but lived Moreton wallasey.I looked in the poll book but didnt find him.I also looked in the death index for any entries in the newspaper for that date, there wasnt one.
Seeing that he died in birkenhead i would have though if he had no family in rake lane and isnt with his wife in Liverpool. He might be in Landican or Flaybrick,if he isnt in any of those. Maybe he was cremated :-\

Celia,

You have been VERY thorough and done far more than I could have expected. Thanks for eliminating all those possibilities. You are performing a very helpful and charitable service - so thanks again for your effort.
