Welcome to Rootschat Sandy. Think i might need to print this out and read it in bed ;D Joking aside ;) I have never knew that rake Lane took Headstones from churchyard's before. I know there are no non conformist buried there, they were buried in B/Head(thats what i was told) Rake lane only has C.O.E & Catholic. Looking after stones however is different they might be on a separate film i will inquire about that and let you know.I cant find my cemetery map at the moment but i think i remember where 14G is(underwater by now i should think ;D) You have a good amount of information so if you family are buried in the cemetery i will find them. On reading your post again basically all you need is the plot number. each one will have to be looked up separately it wont give all the people buried in one grave at a glance.but you have those anyway. But of course providing the stone is still standing which a lot are not,you will find that out when you find it.I wont be able to help with Sara though or with burials in Grave D without a death year. Hopfully all the earlier years will be on one film.I will start my search at the weekend and get back to you with my
finding

Hi Celia..no I didn't get that message but Nov 28th I was in London before going over to Germany and didn't do much on line except for getting emails from home when I could.
YES! I did receive the photos and thanks again for doing that and NO Thanks for NOT adding an address to send you something for doing that for me...shame on you  :)
As of right now...have no clue who those Taylors belong to...but have kept the info since one never knows when it might come in usefull. My William Taylor had 6 sisters but might have been other relatives. I believe when people migrate somewhere it is usually to where other family members are located.
I did have another 12 page letter from my Aunt in Montreal waiting for me including an old photo of the Edith road home (with her in front with her sister and Mum). I can make a copy of it and get it to you if you want just for fun. she also sent the "original" copy of the burials for my Greatgrandparents at the cemetery and I had to promise not to tell her kids she gave it to me. I promised to take very good care of it! I can make copies of the front and back and get that to you to if you want. It's way up on my "to do" list to sit down and write her back and really look over that document.

Thanks again for all you do for this site!
Love,
Karen

Hello Karen, I hope you enjoyed your Holiday :) I didn't give my address because i knew you might do that ;)I thought you might send a post.I was a bit concerned as i don't have the photo now. I would love a copy of the old Edith Road and the Burial record. I did go back to the plot a couple of times but it is so big. The map is deceiving, I will find those headstones  :D.I don't like  leaving half finished jobs :) and keep going back to them.

Celia Im so sorry. I didnt check back properly, In still a bit vague about how it all works.
THANK YOU very much for all your work!
Its filled in some gaps. Not all the Pom you found have a direct connection with my lot but its grist to the Pomerology mills. Chris Pomery will be intrested so THANK YOU again!

Theres another connection Ive been trying to find. The interest in Stokesay Hall comes from the other side of my family. There was a Joseph Wilson corn merchant and he married a relative  Catherine Campbell Shearer. They had 4 children one of whom was Frank Campbell Wilson Lord Mayor of Liverpool 1922 23. When the last of the family died Margaret Florence Wilson, her will was found to have been changed to favour someone outside the family A Mrs Shone , her companion. There was a court case and the trust fund was finally dispersed in 1970. HOWEVER I dont know when MFW died . I want to find her will, Im  consumed by curiosity! There would have been an orbit but I would imagine there might also be court reports or newspaper reports. Its not really that far back some time between about 1965 and 1970 ?? What do you think?  Any chance you might ferret out something??

Hello Annie did you get lost in the forest of RootsChat ;D
Unless you unticked the Notify of replies you should have been notified. Anyway i have noticed recently that the box's are now all pre ticked. It's nice to know you have found something that you can use in my finding. As to obtaining wills, I only do burial look ups on this Topic so cant help with  that i am afraid.I have myself a few weeks ago bought over the net. The will of my G.G.Grandfather (Not the original of course :) from Scotland. I do believe you can order English wills in England as well but you must know the year of death. You will have poke around the net to find some information ;) As with wills, looking for court case documentation is more of a private thing and one we have to do ourselves.I too have a case i would like to go into that concerns money but i cant be bothered ;D I wont gain anything from it. You have to have information as well, but if you know the court that the case took place in you could allways try phoning them up it's worth a try ;)
Hope this will be of some help

Celia
P.S If there is anything you are having a problem with on RootsChat go to beginners and they will help. we have all been there at one time or other :)

Thank you Celia. I thought Id ticked but I didnt get a notice so I cant have.
Lost in the Roots? more like lost in a forest of family trees.

Like you theres nothing in the will for me but Id love to know how much the companion got away with.( She was sister to a very famous politician) One of the other Wilson children left something silly like 1/4 of a million to a cats home so that last will must have been worth the public humiliation!! Id love to know!I may try the original solicitor?

Scottish ancestors are eas to find with because of Scotlandpeople.  Its very clear and easy to use and Ive had most of the certs I wanted from them. I get lost in the English equivilent!

You have been great Many thanks
