Hi Celia

Thanks ever so much for sending me the information re the Ambler burials. I'm not sure where I got the mis-information about who John was buried with - it was jotted on a piece of paper from years ago!  Sorry about that!  It was a second marriage for both John and Elizabeth, so I just thought they must have had an agreement to be buried with spouse no. 1!  And yes, the address IS 10 Water St. That was the family home and where my grandmother was born in 1908.

Thanks again for all your help and hard work.

Best regards

Helen

Your welcome.
If you live in or near Wirral you might find a orbit for them sometime.

Actually I'm not that far away up the motorway, but my brother lives in Heswall. Sadly he's one of those people who's not remotely interested in family history or "the past" as he calls it.  It's a shame as we have other branches from Raby, Bebington and Parkgate and I could do with him doing a bit of research for me, but there's not the remotest chance of that happening unfortunately!

Thanks again,

Helen

Hi Celia
I have just found this site on Rake lane Cemetry, Could you do a look up for me, My Grandfather Henry Etherington is Buried there around 1963-4?,also his Wife Jane in 1946/7,he used to work at this cemetry as gardener/grave digger in the 1930/40's? mabe even earlier,I also think my mums last child was buried in the bottom of grandmothers Coffin in Jan 1954(age 4-5weeks old).all Church of England I think, also I noticed you had a site on MN Mi's,well I have been searching for info on my uncle Albert, who was lost at sea some time between 1939 and middle of 1941, all I know is that he went to sea with my dad on convoy's in WW11,and was lost,so if you come up with anything on these family members it would be gratfully appreciated.

Hello Albert
A lot of my request come from abroad so i am always glad to help ;D I will do your look-ups, then later i will see if i can find any info on your uncle Albert. My dad was also lost at sea,on the Malta convoy early 1943. The Etherington  name is ringing bells for some reason.I will get back to you in the next couple of days.

Hi again
Thanks for the reply, the Etherington name might be because my Granddad worked at Rake Cemetry as a gardener for a lot of years, and he lived in a house that backed onto the Cemetry at 14 Grange Ave??
again many thanks
