Bones i hired the machine again and looked through the 4th 1/4 very carefully.It is as i said though. William isn't there,so we must take it that he was cremated.Landican had opened by then.

I cant be bothred looking through my P.M's for yours   I get loads of P.ms so for now a question for you.I am trying to cut down on the my search.You have given me the 1/4 that William was registered (not died).I have had a look at the index for the G.R.O. Registrations This isn't one for a William Edwards in that quarter for 1946.However there are 2 registered in the first 1/4 of 1947. William H Edwards & William E Edwards.If we can find the right month it will mean i don't have to search all Oct Nov & DEC which is 12  of the mentioned.
Question where did you get your William in 1946.

I got it off ancestry when I was subscribed. 1946 OCt, Nov, Dec. (I printed it off), was the registration. So I don't know when he actually died.

Don't worry about it, I don't think I am meant to find it

Cant understand that bones,i i went through the index on Find my past and it just gives the names of folk registered in what 1/4 (you can view the original at a price) i looked through the whole 1/4 as said but nothing there.Don't give up I f i don't find him,he must have been cremated.I will get back to you on that.

This is my first post so hope it works ok! I've visited the cemetery with area and grave number (8C and 193) but no standing tombstone and the grave numbers don't follow consecutively al the time so we couldn't work out which plot it was so we could have investigated to see if there was a horizontal tombstone, as the grass seems to have covered a lot of them. Do you know if there is a plan of where specific numbered graves are and if so where it is? Thanks for any advice you could give.

well done for your first post,i am not sure what you mean by you couldn't find the Plot The plot as you say is 8c,so you were trying to work out were the grave on the plot was
I know what you mean about the stones not running in order ;)8c is to the left of the main entrance as you will know
Do you know what mode of burial it was?if was common there never was a grave stone,other graves simply didn't have one because the family couldn't afford one.Today there should be no covered gravestones  most have been dug out the last 18months,Unless the grave keepers have let the grass grow over them again.

First question,yes there is. Where is it? it is under lock and key and is only for the use of the grave diggers,not for the public.I have found a few myself with help(when i put my sweet smile on)If you have long legs you can find a grave in 2 strides.I will P.M you for some info
